Employment and Jobs Questions

Q: How much does it cost to find a job through the Helping Friends?
A: Helping Friends Jobs services are free to all job seekers.  Our charges are paid by our client companies. It'll still cost you to shop the Helping Friends Stores and you are going to have to pay at checkout for our affiliate shopping partners, but our value is in creating career opportunities, and that service, while free, is what our jobseekers value most!

Q: How does Helping Friends Career Network make money?

A:  HFCN started as a "good will effort" and supply and demand for our services created a national then global growth market.  We are paid by our clients who list jobs with us-- but not for listing the jobs.. Helping Friends Career Network makes money when we place quality employees with our valued and growing client base.  Our clients are seeing value in our services from getting a better base of candidates without spending as much time reading resumes that don't match their needs.  There are some things a database simply can not do, and for that we provide the valued human touch!

Q: Why do you ask about my salary and geographic preferences, shouldn't that be part of the interview process?
A: Helping Friends Career Network offer more specific matching to your needs. We are profitable and successful when we present that which meets our jobs seekers and employers needs, so we ask more questions than you might have on a job application site, because we believe finding the right fit, it, is more efficient when we start from your ideal preferences.

Q: How much does it cost to list a job opening?                                                                                                                                 A: There is no charge to list jobs with the Helping Friends.  We list and market your jobs based upon reasonable and standard industry search rates.  We work very hard to fill our contingency and direct placement positions.  We pride ourselves on our flexibility and strive to bring you the best candidates to your needs per our contract/placement agreement. There are no limitations on volume or frequency of jobs, list one job or one hundred. With agreed upfront terms and conditions for delivery (generally a contingency agreement for flat rate or direct or standard percentage of candidate annual salary.)  To begin working with us, send the job descriptions to opportunities@helpingfriendscareernetwork.com we will work with you to initiate service.  If further questions, please contact us.

Q: Do you have an Information Protection Policy for the use of resume/jobseeker data?                                                      A:  Our Privacy Policy is posted online at http://hfcareernetwork.com/PrivacyStatement.html

Q: Do you forward candidate resumes without candidate permission?                                                                                         A: No. We feel it is in the best ethical and practical interest of our candidates and the companies  we serve, to check availability and interest prior to submission.

Q: What are the Helping Friends "eCandidate"s?                                                                                                                                 A: eCandidates are "Excellent" "Candidate" professionals who have completed a work package that qualifies them for an extra care career service marketing.  They have a complete career package that allows our recruiting team to market them for competitive opportunities.  Complete Career Package is a Complete "New Candidate Profile", current resume, letters of reference, and LinkedIn profile with endorsements. eCandidates are selected by special request based upon the marketability of their services.  There is no charge for the eCandidate services, but it is a special offering for job seekers who want a bit more visibility and marketing from the Helping Friends Recruiters.
